Hallowell, EMC is now offering a three year extended warranty for your Ventilator machines and Anesthesia Workstations. This service is available for a one time payment of $600.
What am I getting for my $600?
Once annually, for three years, you will be able to send your ventilator to our technicians for a Cleaning & Calibration Service. This service, if paid for annually for three years, is an $870 value in itself. Our extended warranty plan grants you a savings of $270 in maintenance costs on one of the most vital pieces of equipment in your operating theater. Keeping your ventilator in good health will save you thousands of dollars in replacement costs.
Is my machine eligible for this program?
Hallowell, EMC is offering this warranty on already purchased ventilators between one and eight years of age, from the original ship date. Once you have decided that this is a smart investment for your company, you will be asked to send your machine to us for its first Cleaning & Calibration Service through our Return Authorization Procedure. This will be covered under Year One of the warranty. Once the machine has been looked over, and deemed to be qualified for the warranty, we will ship your unit back to you and your three year warranty will start that day. Please note: Machines that have previously been sent in for service are not exempt from this offer.
Are there any additional costs to me?
As has always been our procedure, you will be responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping, handling, and insurance costs on your machine. Also, if you send your machine in for its annual cleaning, and a technician finds a pressing issue, you will be called and notified of the problem at hand as well as additional costs, if any, to fix the problem.
Does the warranty not cover anything in particular?
Your warranty will be deemed null and void if the “VOID” seals (which are located on the rear and bottom plates) are broken. This warranty does not cover a unit damaged by abuse or if the unit is operated outside the normal operating conditions.

Once we've created a sales order for your warranty purchase, we will issue you a Return Authorization number so you can send your machine in for its first Cleaning & Calibration Service. After this process is complete, we will invoice you for the cost of the warranty. This invoice will be your signed agreement with Hallowell, EMC for your Three Year Extended Warranty Plan.
What is this Return Authorization process you keep mentioning?
Simple. Once you contact us by phone or e-mail, we will issue you a number after asking you a few questions. If you are considering this warranty, please have the following information available:
• Serial number of the item
• A name, phone number, and extension of the party to contact, should we have further questions
• A billing name, address, phone number, and PO number of the responsible party
• The name of the party to whom we should ship the item, their e-mail address, the shipping address, and the receiver's PO number if needed

How do I package and ship my machine?
When shipping your unit to us, the entire unit should be placed and sealed in a plastic bag. Then bubble wrapped and double boxed to prevent damage. We will not need any power cords, hoses, adapters, bellows, housings, etc. (Unless you believe they are suspect).
If you are shipping to us your Anesthesia Workstation, the absorber must be emptied. Small bubble wrap type packing material should be placed within the confines of the clear acrylic cover, to prevent the cracking of an expensive item. The entire unit should be sealed in a plastic bag, bubble wrapped, and double boxed, as mentioned above for the ventilator.
